Chennai Super Kings star wicketkeeper-batsman and captain MS Dhoni was unable to do much in the final of the IPL 2023, which was played in Ahmedabad on Monday (May 29). In the summit clash against the Gujarat Titans, the 41-year-old Dhoni came out to bat at No. 6 but got out for a golden duck, which invited a hilarious reaction from his wife Sakshi.

The 2023 IPL triumph was CSK’s fifth title win, and all of this came under MS Dhoni’s leadership, who has been associated with the Men in Yellow since the start of the cash-rich league back in 2008. However, in the final, Dhoni was unable to do much with the bat and got out for a golden duck. He came out to bat at No. 6 ahead of Jadeja, but on the very first ball, David Miller completed his catch inside the 30-yard circle off Mohit Sharma’s bowling.

Dhoni, who announced his retirement from international cricket in August 2020 after playing his final match for India in July 2019, had an average IPL season as a batter this year. He came out to bat 12 times in a total of 16 matches played this year, and with the help of three fours and 10 sixes, he was able to score 104 runs at an average of 26.00 and a strike rate of 182.45.
