While participating in an interview with a popular YouTube channel, the anchor questioned him about why songs in Kollywood are often instant hits but don’t last long among the audience.
Sai Abhyankkar responded that if we take Anirudh’s Hukum song as an example, the song was composed just as a hook song for the hero. Such songs, according to him, don’t last long in the hearts of the audience, especially considering that 6-7 songs from independent artists are released each week.

He further explained that a normal hook song won’t endure for long. However, he clarified that he wasn’t saying it’s a bad song, but just that it’s a typical hook song.
This statement has gone viral, with people agreeing with Sai Abhyankkar’s opinion, claiming that his criticism is spot on. Many feel that Anirudh’s songs are often instant hits but don’t have lasting power.
