The 80th Golden Globes kickstared Hollywood’s award season with a ceremony in Los Angeles hosted by comedian Jerrod Carmichael. RRR, directed by SS Rajamouli won Best Original Song for Naatu Naatu and is also competing for Best Non-English Language Film. RRR, starring Jr NTR and Ram Charan as real-life freedom fighters Komaram Bheem and Alluri Sitaramaraju, is the first Indian film to win a Golden Globe, among Hollywood’s most prestigious. Director Rajamouli, Jr NTR and Ram Charan with wide Upasana Kamineni are attending the Golden Globes. Apart from RRR, other notable nominees as the films The Banshees Of Inisherin and Everything Everywhere All At Once which have 6 and 5 nominations each. Abbott Elementary leads the slate of TV nods with 5 nominations while The Crown, The White Lotus, Only Murders In The Building, Pam & Tommy and Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story have 4 nominations each.
