Rohit Sharma & Co. Leave For Mumbai After Meeting PM Narendra Modi

Team India Victory Parade Live Updates: It’s been a scarcely believable last few days for Team India. Not only did they beat South Africa in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 final to lift a T20 World Cup trophy after 17 years and end their world title drought of 11 years but they had to wait for their homecoming post a thrilling win in Barbados.

Rohit Sharma & Co.’s flight back home was delayed due to Hurricane Beryl which meant that after coming back from behind to lift the trophy on June 29, the team could only back home early morning on July 4. Despite a long flight back to India, there was a packed schedule for the team on their arrival with PM Narendra Modi having invited them over to his official residence for breakfast and an interactive session.

Soon after their interaction, the Men in Blue have taken another chartered flight from Delhi to Mumbai where they are set to undergo an open-bus parade from Marine Drive to the Wankhede Stadium. There will also be a small ceremony at Wankhede that will follow the parade with entry for the same made free for all the fans.

India’s title-winning captain Rohit has already extended an invitation to all his fellow countrymen through a post on social media platform X. “we want to enjoy this special moment with all of you. So let’s celebrate this win with a victory parade at Marine Drive & Wankhede on July 4th from 5:00 pm onwards. It’s coming home ❤️🏆,” he wrote in his post.
