Team India’s talismanic batsmen Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma have been the spearheads of the side for over a decade now. But given their recent run of form in the test matches, they are largely inconsistent.
Though both Rohit and Kohli got to half-centuries in the earlier game, they couldn’t see it through and India ended up losing the game.

Now again in the second test match, the numbers posted by Rohit and Kohli have been abysmal. While Rohit’s couldn’t even touch the double digit in both innings, the best of Kohli is 17 which is again abnormally poor.
This is now leading to comments that it is about time that the two stalwarts of Indian cricket call it quits as they are struggling to put up consistent results.

Compared to Rohit and Kohli, youngsters like Shubman Gill and Jaiswal have been performing well. There is scope for more such youngsters to enter the fray in the due course and replace the two superstar batsmen.
