After hosting Bollywood celebrities, Kapil Sharma is now ready to serve up laughter with a cricketing twist. In the upcoming episode of The Great Indian Kapil Show on Netflix, Kapil welcomes four dynamic cricket personalities—Gautam Gambhir, Rishabh Pant, Abhishek Sharma, and Yuzvendra Chahal. The newly released trailer offers a sneak peek into a riot of jokes, cheeky digs, and unexpected revelations, including one about Kapil’s staggering monthly income.
The promo kicks off with stylish entries from the cricketers, setting the tone for a lively evening. Kapil turns to Gambhir and quips, “Coach sir, can the boys have fun today?” To this, Gambhir shoots back with a grin, “I’m the one who seeks their permission!” The punchline lands perfectly, leaving everyone in splits.
As the banter continues, Kapil pokes fun at Gambhir’s stern image, asking, “Is Gautam bhai just as stern in the dressing room?” Rishabh Pant wisely replies, “Depends on how the match is going.” Gautam cheekily adds, “The same way it depends on how the show is doing,” prompting Kapil to exclaim, “He’s pinning everything on me.”
The questions only get quirkier. Kapil asks who among them plays the “devrani” stirring up drama. Abhishek, new to the scene, shifts the blame to Pant, who protests, “They make me do all the wrong things!” When asked who plays the “jija” who complains the most, Pant immediately names Mohammed Shami, with Gambhir chiming in, “That jija hasn’t come home in two years!”
Krushna Abhishek and Sunil Grover soon join the fun in their signature avatars. Adding to the madness, Sunil Grover enters as Sidhu Paaji and playfully roasts Chahal over missing RCB’s historic win due to his team switch. The episode also sees Pant cheekily asking Kapil if someone else has ever outshined him in comedy. Kapil’s response? “I edit out their parts!”
