Ricky Pearsall’s horrific injuries have been revealed by the San Francisco 49ers after he was shot during a robbery on Saturday.
Pearsall sustained a bullet wound to the chest during the altercation and is in serious-but-stable condition.
Fellow wide receiver Deebo Samuel provided reassuring message on X about an hour after news of Pearsall being shot started to circulate.
‘He’s good. Thank god!!!!’ Samuel posted alongside praying hands and fingers-crossed emojis.
Video has emerged of Pearsall just after the shooting being loaded into an ambulance.

The first-year receiver was reportedly targeted over his Rolex watch. There are also unconfirmed claims that Pearsall was at an autograph signing at or around the time the shooting took place.
The 23-year-old Arizona native is one week away from his first NFL game against the New York Jets on September 9, although his status for that contest was already clouded by a shoulder injury.
Pearsall was taken with the 31st pick of April’s NFL Draft after playing collegiately at Arizona State and Florida.
Mayor London Breed has since released a statement on the shooting.
‘This afternoon, there was an attempted robbery in Union Square involving San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Ricky Pearsall and he was shot,’ Breed said in her statement. ‘SFPD was on scene immediately and an arrest of the shooter was made.’

‘My thoughts are with Ricky and his family at this time. We will provide more updates, including on his condition, as I receive them.’
San Francisco District Attorney Brooke Jenkins also released a statement following the shooting.
‘Violent crime has no place in our city and I will continue to stand shoulder to shoulder with the San Francisco Police Department and law enforcement to make our city safer,’ Brooke said.
‘I would like to thank the SFPD for making an immediate arrest,’ Brooke continued. ‘When the case is presented to my office we will move expeditiously to review all of the evidence and make appropriate charging decisions. We cannot and will not tolerate senseless crime in San Francisco, and my office will ensure that there is accountability.’
