Revanth Reddy Fears/Respects TDP Vote Bank

It is an open secret that the Telugu Desam Party’s Vote Bank rallied with the Congress Party in the last Assembly elections to bring Revanth Reddy into the Chief Minister’s Chair. Even though Revanth Reddy quit TDP to join Congress, the party’s cadre always had immense love for him.

A couple of days ago, Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy stirred up a hornest’s nest when he said a new Assembly building should come up at NTR’s Garden as it would be nice to have the Secretariat and the Assembly close to each other.

Hours after the statement, Rajagopal Reddy corrected saying that he did not mean to remove NTR Garden and he only meant it would be nice if the Assembly and the Secretariat are close to each other.

Even then, this statement continued to become a talking amount among the settlers and Pro-TDP Vote-Bank.

The very next day, Revanth Reddy has approved the installation of a 100-foot statue of NTR in Hyderabad, along with plans for an NTR Knowledge Center.

The statue will be situated near Outer Ring Road (ORR) in Hyderabad, and there is a plan to create an NTR Knowledge Center at the site.

He announced that the Government plans to develop it as a Tourist Destination and agreed to allot the land soon.

This sudden meeting and the announcement does not appear as a coincidence. Did Revanth Reddy planned this announcement so as to pacify the TDP vote bank that got enraged due to Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy’s statement.

That implies Revanth Reddy still fears/respects the TDP Vote Bank.

This vote bank will be extremely crucial for the Congress when the GHMC elections happen sometime next year. It will be a problem if the BJP forges an alliance with TDP in Telangana as well to stop that vote bank going to Revanth Reddy.
