The producers of Pushpa 2 can heave a sigh of relief following court orders stalling their arrest. Producers Yalamanchili Ravishankar and Yerneni Naveen have got respite through court order.

It is known that the presence of massive crowd during Pushpa 2 event led to a stampede resulting in the death of one lady.
The Chikkadpally police filed a case and the matter is in court. The court has ordered the police to continue with investigation, but mentioned that the producers should not be arrested.

Ravishankar and Naveen filed a petition in the high court following which Justice K Sujana looked into the matter on Tuesday and restrained the police from arresting the Mythri Movie Makers’ duo.
While the prosecution argued that the incident happened due to grave negligence, the producers’ counsel N Naveen Kumar argued that the producers could not be held responsible for the unfortunate incident as stated in the FIR.

The Mythri Movie Makers’ producers had no involvement with the special show or what followed later, he argued. He pointed out that the producers’ role was limited to producing and distributing the film. Kumar defended his clients saying the producers’ office had given information to Sandhya theater staff and the police. Following this, senior police officials like the local ACP and DCP visited the venue and overlooked the security measures, added the lawyer.
The justice heard both sides and ordered the police to not arrest the petitioners. However, the pettioners were told to cooperate with the police investigation.
The justice postponed the hearing regarding the arrest of Sandhya theater staff and Allu Arjun’s personal staff.
