Nayanthara’s critically acclaimed Mookuthi Amman is getting a sequel, directed by Sundar C. The film recently kickstarted with a pooja ceremony, and now the shooting is progressing at a fast pace.
Initially, there was strong speculation that Regina Cassandra, who recently played a crucial role in Vidaamuyarchi, is also part of this project. After her presence at the pooja ceremony, it is almost confirmed that she will play a key role in the film.

Following this, many social media users have raised questions about whether Sundar C will incorporate glamorous elements in an Amman movie, as he has done in his past films.
Since Nayanthara does not take on glamorous roles and is portraying Amman in the film, netizens speculate that Sundar C might introduce a glamorous angle through Regina Cassandra, who has previously starred in bold roles.

With Regina Cassandra now confirmed as part of this magnum opus, Mookuthi Amman 2 is being made on a budget of over ₹100 crores, making it the biggest film in Sundar C’s career.
It remains to be seen whether Mookuthi Amman 2 will become a blockbuster and if Sundar C can continue his success streak after Aranmanai 4 and Madha Gaja Raja.
