Real Madrid planning to make 3-4 signings this summer, including a striker

The humiliating defeat to Manchester City in the Champions League may have fueled speculations over the future of Carlo Ancelotti, with the CBF officials reportedly set to land in Madrid next week to hold talks with the Italian coach.

But that has not deterred the club from planning ahead for next season. The general consensus in the Real Madrid camp is that Ancelotti has the backing of Florentino Perez and may continue beyond the summer.

According to Melchor Ruiz, it appears Real Madrid are ready to back the veteran manager as well. The COPE journalist suggests the club may sign a maximum of three to four players in the coming summer, in their bid to strengthen the squad.

Real Madrid are already in advanced talks to sign Jude Bellingham. The Englishman is prepared to join Los Blancos ahead of the new season, though the club still have to reach an agreement with Borussia Dortmund over the transfer fees.

In addition to Bellingham, Real Madrid could end up signing up to three more players. Among them, they could target a striker, following the impending departure of Mariano Diaz, whose contract at Santiago Bernabeu expires at the end of the season.

The Spanish giants were recently linked with a move for Kylian Mbappe, but the move for the Frenchman might not be a possibility this summer. The same can be said for Erling Haaland, so the club may face a dilemma over the pursuit of a new striker.

Other than a striker and a midfielder, Real Madrid may target some defenders, especially a left-back, considering the uncertainty looming over the future of Ferland Mendy.

As per Melchor Ruiz, the Real Madrid board is planning to conduct a meeting within the coming days to discuss potential targets in the market this summer.
