    Ravi Teja & Ram Pothineni

    Ravi Teja Ram Pothineni

Telugu Cinema is definitely making noise with Pan-India films. There are definitely a handful of stars who got that Pan-India appeal but there are quite a few other actors who are considering themselves as bigger than those stars.

The best examples are Ravi Teja and Ram who have releases this weekend.

Ravi Teja’s Mr. Bachchan and Ram’s Double Ismart released this long weekend.

Both the heroes completely shun their responsibility of promoting their films. Both of them have given a couple of common interviews and only attended the Pre-release events of their films. They did not even give media interviews.

There were no Hyderabad events for Double Ismart. There were a couple of them for Mr Bachchan but Ravi Teja did not attend only to allow the director Harish Shankar to make a mess.

There is an attitude with some Pan-India stars to avoid media interviews and excessive marketing thinking such promotions are not of their range.

Even that is acceptable to some extent but Ravi Teja and Ram are struggling heroes.

Ravi Teja had only one solo hit in his last thirteen films since 2018.

Ram is yet to taste success after 2019.

In comparison to them, Tamil Superstar Vikram has done a great job for his Thangalaan.

Vikram promoted Thangalaan in Hyderabad, Vijayawada, and Vishakapatnam before the release. Immediately after the release, the team landed in Hyderabad for two days. They had a success meet here and Vikram also visited theaters in Hyderabad.

Thangalaan team gave preference to Hyderabad over Chennai in the post-release promotions.

As a result, Thangalaan’s chances got bettered in Telugu in the holiday season.

Vikram is also a big star if he has no inhibitions to promote his film why should a youngster like Ram have?

It is understandable to some extent if Ram and Ravi Teja do not want to promote the film after its release due to the result. But it is criminal to leave the movies to their fate before the release.
