Maddock Films has given a treat to cinema lovers by announcing ‘Thama’, a vampire love story starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna, set to release on Diwali 2025.
Directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, the film would be part of Dinesh Vijan’s Horror Comedy Universe which includes blockbusters like Munjya, Bhediya and Stree 2. Originally named ‘Vampires of Vijay Nagar’, the film promises to be a blend of romance, horror, and humour.

Apart from Ayushmann and Rashmika, Thama also features other veteran stars such as Paresh Rawal and Nawazuddin Siddiqui.
This film could prove to be special for Rashmika Mandanna as it may have the capability to cross the ₹500 Cr. mark, making it her first Hindi film to do so.

Animal’s Hindi version was a near-miss for Rashmika as it fell short of the mark, collecting just about ₹490 Cr., according to trade reports.
While Pushpa 2 is expected to easily cross the ₹500 Cr. mark, Thama could be Rashmika’s first exclusively Hindi film to do so.
