Now, the film’s producer Anand Pandit has revealed that the actor lost 26 kgs to play the role of Hindutva ideologue Vinayak Damodar Savarkar. The film is produced by Anand Pandit, Sandeep Singh, Sam Khan and Yogesh Rahar, apart from Randeep himself.
Producer Anand Pandit shared in a recent interview that Randeep Hooda lost not 18 but 26kg for the role.
See more“He was so involved in the character and till date is. To essay it on the screen, he said that he won’t leave any stone unturned. He had only 1 khajoor and 1 glass of milk for 4 months until the shooting got over.”
The producer also added that Randeep shaved off his hair for the role too.
Pandit also said that while Mahesh Manjerekar was supposed to direct the film earlier, he had to bow out due to date issues. That’s when he suggested Randeep to direct the film as he was so involved in it.
The film is expected to release in September.
