Ramayana, Galwan, Border 2 Trapped in Biggest Controversies

Many big films from Bollywood are scheduled to arrive in the upcoming few months. A few of them will also be released next year. But just like the ongoing trend, some of the films have already got themselves involved in controversies before their arrival on the big screen.

The first in the list is Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana, featuring Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi as Ram and Sita. Although the first glimpse has received positive reactions, a section of the audience is still angry with the lead pair.

While Ranbir is facing criticism for allegedly consuming beef in the past, Sai Pallavi previously landed herself in trouble for making a statement where she compared the Indian Army with Pakistan. It seems like issues are not going to end until the duo apologizes for everything.

The next film is Battle of Galwan, which was announced on July 4, 2025, and has Salman Khan in the lead role. Directed by Apoorva Lakhia, the upcoming film has landed in hot waters due to Salman’s casting.

Notably, India responded to Pakistan after the Pahalgam attack in April this year by launching airstrikes at the terror camps.

However, Salman was spotted not posting anything related to the airstrike and while things became normal at one point, Salman shared a post on X by writing “ceasefire”, which led to heavy criticism towards the superstar.

The last is Diljit Dosanjh, who has been almost banned by the Indian film industry for casting a Pakistani actress in his film Sardaar Ji 3. This is also associated with the Pahalgam attack, which has led to the discontinuation of casting Pakistani actors in Indian films.

Moreover, the ongoing issue has brought trouble for Border 2, which features Diljit in the lead. While the makers have not clarified anything about Diljit being a part of the lead cast, it seems like Border 2 will either get delayed or it will face boycott if makers don’t opt to recast Diljit.

Except for the matter of Diljit Dosanjh, it seems like the other two films are capable of pulling audiences as they did not commit the big mistake of casting someone from Pakistan.

While Ramayana is close to the hearts of every Hindu, Battle of Galwan is expected to make an impact with intensity and emotions by bringing the story behind the sacrifices made by the Indian Army. Let’s wait and see if the content of both films will bring more collections at the box office.
