The trailer for Suriya’s highly anticipated film Kanguva has sparked mixed reactions. Directed by Siva, the trailer showcases impressive visuals but leaves viewers uncertain about the film’s overall entertainment value.

Some Tamil fans are overhyping the trailer, even suggesting that SS Rajamouli, known for his cinematic marvels like Baahubali and RRR, could learn a thing or two from Siva about creating world-class visuals.
This overenthusiastic praise has led to humorous responses online. Many are pointing out the exaggeration in these comparisons, with comments ranging from disbelief to amusement.

One user remarked that director Siva might even block accounts making such comparisons. Others have pointed out that such hype could potentially influence people to not watch the film.
Some argue that while the visuals of Kanguva are impressive, comparing Siva to Rajamouli is a stretch, as Rajamouli is considered a master of both storytelling and visuals.

Another Telugu user suggested that our Prasanth Varma could be a better match for Siva’s style, forget Rajamouli.
The trailer, featuring Suriya and Bobby Deol, appears to mix various myths and legends without clearly defining the plot.
Bobby Deol, who recently bulked up for his role in Animal still seems to be in that hangover. He looked out of place and his dubbing was bad.
The trailer’s excessive background music and poorly executed dubbing further detract from its effectiveness, making the overall presentation feel disorganized.
Despite these issues, there is hope that Kanguva, with its substantial budget, will deliver a compelling story and justify its investment when it hits theaters on October 10, 2024.
