The TVS Raider 125 is the best-selling motorcycle of the brand in April 2024. It registered a 62 per cent YoY growth last month with 51,097 unit sales
TVS Motor recently announced that it has witnessed 29 per cent YoY growth in two-wheeler sales in India last month. The company sold 1,32,339 scooters and 1,27,186 motorcycles in April 2024, registering a growth of 38 per cent and 24 per cent, respectively. TVS mopeds also witnessed a sales growth of 20 per cent with 41,925 units.
The TVS Jupiter and NTorq continue to be the best-selling scooters of the brand. Similarly, the TVS Raider 125 still maintains its position as TVS’ top-selling motorcycle in the Indian market. In FY2024, TVS Raider 125 was the company’s best-selling motorcycle in India, with 4,78,443 unit sales.
The 125 cc motorcycle overtook the Apache series, which recorded 3,78,072 unit sales in FY 2024. The Raider 125 registered 51,097 unit sales in April 2024, witnessing a Year-on-Year growth of 62 per cent, as per SIAM. Overall, the TVS Raider 125 accounts for 40 per cent of TVS’ motorcycle sales.
Witnessing a high demand among Gen Z customers, this 125cc commuter motorcycle has achieved an 8,00,000 sales milestone in just 2 years and 7 months. Featuring sporty styling, the Raider 125 gets a split seat, a muscular fuel tank and an LED headlamp with integrated LED DRLs. Flaunting a 3D TVS badge on the fuel tank, the motorcycle comes equipped with an LED tail lamp and aluminium grab rail.
The top-spec TVS Raider SX comes equipped with a 5-inch TFT display along with a Bluetooth module. Furthermore, it gets the TVS SmartXConnect system, which provides access to navigation and message and call notifications. The motorcycle draws power from a 124.8 cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine, generating 11.2 bhp power and 11.2 Nm torque.
The TVS Raider 125 base model price starts from Rs. 95,219, while the top-spec Raider SX is available at a price of Rs 1.04 lakh (all prices are ex-showroom, Delhi). The sporty commuter motorcycle rivals the likes of Honda Shine, Hero Glamour, Hero Xtreme 125R, Bajaj Pulsar and more in the Indian market. TVS recently launched the Black Edition of the Apache RTR 160 2V and 4V while the iQube range was expanded with the inclusion of a new battery pack.
