Pushpa 2 vs Mega 3: Will Allu Arjun Dominate?

In the past few months, the rivalry between fans of Allu Arjun and the Mega family has gone from bad to worse. Not just online, but these fan wars have started to take an ugly shape even on the ground level.

In such a scenario, the fate of Allu Arjun’s upcoming Pushpa 2 and other films from the Mega family like Game Changer, Hari Hara Veera Mallu, and Vishwambhara will be keenly watched.

Stree 2 showed what kind of collections a sequel can generate if well received by the audience and that too without major stars.

A worldwide gross of 800 crores is simply phenomenal for Stree 2 which indicates what havoc will Pushpa 2 wreak if the film gets positive word of mouth.

Pushpa 2 starring Allu Arjun and Rashmika is easily the most hyped film since Baahubali 2. Pushpa 2 will have the natural advantage of catering to the masses all over which will mean that the numbers in the mass belts will be beyond imagination.

The film is expected to open over 250 crores gross on its first day with superb collections in Hindi as well. If the film received positive word of mouth then 1000 crore gross will be a cakewalk.

On the other hand, Ram Charan’s collaboration with Shankar for Game Changer initially seemed like a masterstroke. However, following the debacle of Indian 2, Game Changer no longer sounds as exciting.

Additionally, the film has been in production for three years, giving it a stale feel. Fans have noted that the posters, songs, and overall vibe of Game Changer lack the wow factor.

Pawan Kalyan’s Hari Hara Veera Mallu was highly anticipated when it was announced in 2019. Directed by Krish and produced by AM Ratnam, it was one of the most hyped films as it marked Pawan’s first straight film in many years.

However, the project has faced continuous delays, with director Krish abandoning it and AM Ratnam’s son taking over. This has resulted in a clear lack of the initial hype surrounding the film.

Megastar Chiranjeevi’s Vishwambhara carried significant expectations as well. His return to the mystical genre after Jagadeka Veerudu Athiloka Sundari and Anji was anticipated to be a treat for audiences.

Unfortunately, the recently released teaser disappointed fans. The poor VFX in the teaser diminished expectations, leading many on social media to fear that this might be another failure for Chiranjeevi, similar to Bholaa Shankar.

As of now, it looks like one film of Allu Arjun is going to dominate the combined package of three films of the Mega family.
