The stage is firmly set for the theatrical debut of Pushpa 2 on the 5th of December and the box office projections are underway for this biggie. Given the sequel hype; the film should surely go bonkers at the global box office.
Now, there are projections that Pushpa 2 must surely touch Rs 200 crores global collections on its first day at the box office and this is a bare minimum.

Anything less than Rs 200 crores global collections would be an underperforming number for a famed sequel that had an immensely popular first part.
We will get a clearer view of the projection once the advance bookings open up in the Telugu states which shouldn’t be too far from now.

For instance, Devara reportedly did in the range of Rs 170 crores global opening and this could be a yardstick for Pushpa 2 now. This film must surely trek and go beyond Rs 200 crores opening at least with the sequel advantage.
Had the songs been a bigger hit, the estimates on the openings would have been higher. But what Pushpa 2 team will be hoping is that this film builds on the audience gradually like how the first part could do.
