This has led the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of the Mumbai Police to start an inquiry.

Vashu Bhagnani alleges he hasn’t received ₹47.37 crore for the subscription video on demand (SVOD) rights as per their agreement and says he was pressured to renegotiate terms, harming his films’ reputations and finances.

Netflix has strongly denied these allegations, stating that Pooja Entertainment owes them money.

The ongoing investigation includes questioning executives from Los Gatos Production Services, with a decision on filing a First Information Report (FIR) pending.

This conflict dates back to a May 2021 deal where Vashu Bhagnani claims he invested ₹645 crore while the other party was supposed to pay ₹281 crore.

The film has also faced backlash for non-payment to crew members.
