Priyanka Chopra has rejected the script of Jee Le Zaraa, forcing the film to go on hold, a new report has claimed. Jee Le Zaraa was announced in 2021 as an all-female travel film. Priyanka was to share the screen with Alia Bhatt and Katrina Kaif in the film while Farhan Akhtar was going to direct it. The film has been delayed a few times, with Farhan also revealing date issues have caused the delay. However, a new report has claimed that there are creative differences between the team.

“The truth is that Priyanka Chopra did not like the script and said to no it. She was supposed to come to India for sister Parineeti Chopra’s wedding and at the same time sign the film’s contract. But things could not be taken ahead because there were creative differences,” a source told Hindustan Times. The source pointed out that Jee Le Zaraa has already been delayed and with the way things are panning out, the film will not go on floors for the next two years. “Any which way it’s a dated story now as it’s already been delayed too much. It might take another two years for the film to go on floor. The makers need to ensure that the story remains relevant for that time,” the insider said.

  • If the report is true, Jee Le Zaraa might be delayed for good two years given Farhan’s upcoming schedule. The filmmaker will be facing the camera as an actor for Begin Again. A source told Pinkvilla in August that the film will be helmed by Nitya Mehra and will go on floors at the end of this year. “Farhan, and Nitya in talks for a musical comedy for a while now, and things are in advanced stages of development at the moment. It’s said to be a remake of the 2013 Hollywood classic, Begin Again, and will go on floors by the end of this year with a start-to-finish schedule,” the source said.

Farhan is then expected to dive into the making of Don 3 with Ranveer Singh. The film is slated to release of 2025.
