S.S. Rajamouli’s next is going to feature Mahesh Babu appearing in a different form. While the director has not shared any updates about the female lead, the latest news is that Priyanka Chopra has been chosen for the same.
The film is going on floors from April next year and a source has mentioned that it is currently in the final stage of writing. Furthermore, Rajamouli has also been frequently meeting Priyanka for over six months to convince her to appear opposite Mahesh.

The source stated that Priyanka is already undergoing preparation for her role and is excited to be a part of the project along with Rajamouli and Mahesh. The insider additionally said that Priyanka’s character has a lot of scope for action which audiences will witness after the film’s release.
Reported to be a jungle adventure, Rajamouli’s upcoming film will be shot in various locations, including the forests in Africa.

Some people on social media feel that Priyanka is not a top heroine anymore and someone more popular should have been chosen for such a hyped film.

The actress has already been associated with Hollywood for a long time which would help the film on global level as Rajamouli plans to make and take this to international audience.
Priyanka already has a huge fanbase in and outside India and considering that Rajamouli is planning to take this film to the global audience, Priyanka can add that X factor.
Rajamouli could have selected Deepika Padukone, but she has already appeared in Kalki 2898 A.D. and the freshness is lost.
Priyanka and Mahesh Babu’s fresh pairing will also work on the big screen since the former is not so young, nor too old. They will ooze the man woman chemistry well unlike Rashmika or other young heroines who would look like kids with Mahesh Babu.
