Amazon Helpline finally responded to their device limitation policy, but it looks like the response is not indicating any helpful outcome.
Amazon Prime Video has been one of the biggest streaming platforms in India, and it offers quality content and a seamless user experience.

Alongside, offering a vast range of movies, shows, and original content.
However, recently, many users have expressed frustration over its strict device limitations, and some are even considering leaving the subscription from the platform and depending on other sites for downloaded content.

One user shared a screenshot showing an error message that read, “Device removal limit reached: 2 devices every 30 days. To watch on more devices, buy another Prime membership.”
This message highlights Amazon’s policy that only allows users to remove two devices every 30 days, which many feel is unnecessarily restrictive.

When the user reached out to Amazon Helpline, they got a very generic reply leading them to a link explaining that Indian subscribers can watch Prime Video on up to five devices, including two TVs.
The explanation did not resolve the issue faced by the user, and they responded, “Go to hell with your limiting rules. I will quit Prime after my current membership ends.”
This incident reflects on a bigger issue.
Many people share their Prime accounts with family members, friends or even switch devices frequently.
With such rigid restrictions, it makes the experience frustrating and inaccessible to a limit.
While it is understandable that Amazon Prime Video wants to have a hold on account sharing.
But it looks like the current rules seem to punish genuine users as well.
If this not up to the mark user satisfaction from Amazon Prime Video continues to grow, Amazon may risk losing loyal customers to more flexible competitors.
