After much anticipation, Nissan India has finally made the exciting announcement for the introduction of the Magnite AMT and the new Kuro Edition. Currently, the company has unveiled both of the new models, and the price for the Magnite AMT will be announced on October 12. Additionally, the price for the Kuro Edition will be announced on October 12. The new Magnite AMT has been introduced to lure in automatic transmission buyers for its non-turbo lineup of Magnite. Meanwhile, the Kuro Edition has been launched as a blacked-out edition of the already popular sub-compact SUV.

Magnite AMT

Starting off with the details of the new Nissan Magnite AMT. This new model has been added to the lineup of Magnite to provide the increasingly demanded convenience of automatic transmission for its non-turbo model. This all-new automated manual transmission will be paired with the 1.0-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine. The AMT option will be available across all non-turbo variants, including XE, XL, XV, and Premium, making it accessible to a wide range of customers.

In terms of changes apart from the transmission, the AMT models will be inheriting the same technological features found in their manual counterparts. Currently, the company offers only two automatic variants, the XV Turbo CVT and the XV Premium Turbo CVT. These models start at Rs 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom).

The introduction of AMT in the non-turbo models is anticipated to offer a more budget-friendly alternative, with even the base XE variant set to include this option. It is estimated that the AMT models may be priced around Rs 60,000 higher than their manual counterparts.

Magnite Kuro Edition

In addition to the Magnite AMT, the company has also taken the covers off the new Magnite Kuro Edition. Essentially, this special edition of the Magnite is the black edition of the Magnite sub-compact SUV. This new edition features an all-black exterior and interior cabin theme, adding a sporty touch to the SUV’s design.

The SUV in this new Kuro Edition will come equipped with blacked-out treatment extending to the grille, skid plate, roof rails, alloys, and headlamps. Additionally, the interior will complement this exterior with a black roof liner, sun visors, door trims, door handles, steering wheel, and AC vent surrounds.

This upcoming Magnite Kuro Edition, which will be launched on October 7, is based on the Magnite XV trim. This means that it will come equipped with an array of premium features. These include a wireless charger, 360-degree camera, rear AC vents, an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and a six-speaker audio system.

The company has also revealed that the Magnite Kuro Edition will come available with both the 1.0-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine, capable of producing 72hp and 96 Nm of torque, and the more powerful 1.0-liter turbo-petrol engine, capable of delivering 100hp and 160 Nm of torque. Lastly, this new edition will be offered with all the gearbox options available for the Magnite, to ensure that buyers can select their preferred transmission.
