Director Prasanth Varma made a sensational impact at the pan-India level with Hanu Man, delivering a massive blockbuster. His journey began impressively with Awe, and since then, he has consistently expanded his range with every film.
Recently, he announced Jai Hanuman, the sequel to Hanu Man, confirming Kannada star Rishab Shetty as the lead. However, since Rishab is currently occupied with the Kantara prequel, he has yet to allocate dates for Jai Hanuman.

Initially, Prasanth Varma planned to release the film in 2025, but scheduling conflicts have now made delays inevitable. His initial timeline appears to have gone off track.
By now, he expected to have completed at least half the shoot, but that hasn’t happened. The film’s progress is entirely dependent on Rishab Shetty’s availability.

Adding to the uncertainty, Rishab Shetty is also committed to a Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj film in Hindi, scheduled for January 2027. This project will demand a significant chunk of his time, making Jai Hanuman’s progress even more doubtful.
Meanwhile, Prasanth Varma seems more interested in his project with Prabhas, which has recently gained attention. Tentatively titled Brahmarakshas, he already has a bound script ready and sees this as his best opportunity to establish himself as a top-tier pan-India director.

He is also committed to Nandamuri Mokshagna’s debut film, though its status remains uncertain.
Given these factors, Jai Hanuman is unlikely to release in 2025 as planned. The delay could push it to 2026, or if things don’t align, even 2027.
Unlike Hanu Man, which was quickly completed with Teja Sajja and CGI work, Jai Hanuman appears to be a far more complex project.
