Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu visited the flood-affected areas in Vijayawada for the 10th consecutive day today. He reviewed the Budameru breaches, which were sealed, by walking on foot. He received a report on Budameru’s condition from the concerned officials.
Speaking to the media, Naidu stated that the Budameru flood was a result of the negligence of the previous government. He alleged that Budameru overflowed due to the illegal encroachments built around it during YCP’s rule.

He mentioned that more than 6 lakh families were affected by the recent floods. Chandrababu revealed that the Krishna River received 1.43 cusecs of flood water due to the recent rainfall, impacting the lives of people in Vijayawada. He also appreciated Minister Nimmala Ramanaidu and the officials who worked tirelessly to seal the Budameru breaches.
Chandrababu noted that despite the government’s consistent efforts, people in a few areas are still not receiving enough relief operations. He informed the media that many individuals are coming forward to provide financial support to the government in conducting relief and rescue operations.

Chandrababu further stated that while everyone was trying to help the flood-affected people, YCP, on the other hand, is trying to spread negative propaganda against these efforts. He accused YCP leaders of releasing boats into the Krishna River and causing them to hit the gates of the Prakasam Barrage during the floods.
He questioned why boats that hit hit the barrage gates had YCP colours on them. He further affirmed that no one involved in this crime would be spared.

Earlier today, Minister Nara Lokesh also alleged that YCP conspired to kill lakhs of people and wipe out Lanka villages by attempting to destroy the gates of the Prakasam Barrage. He accused Jagan of chalking out the plan, and YCP MLC Talashila Raghuram and former YCP MP Nandigam Suresh of executing it.
