Now, the spotlight has shifted to bigger names—Bollywood celebrities and cricketers—who have endorsed these betting apps.

A complaint has been filed at Panjagutta Police Station in Hyderabad against Shah Rukh Khan, Sachin Tendulkar, and Virat Kohli.
The complainant, Arjun Goud, claims that their endorsements influenced his friend to gamble, ultimately leading to his tragic suicide.

Across Tollywood and Bollywood, several actors have been associated with these betting apps, particularly during the IPL season. While influencers were the first to come under fire, now bigger celebrities are being scrutinized.
In Tollywood, actors like Prakash Raj, Rana Daggubati, and Vijay Deverakonda have already responded to allegations by issuing clarifications.

Meanwhile, Hyderabad’s Green Society has demanded legal action against all celebrities promoting these platforms, ensuring that accountability is not limited to just influencers.
These apps offer huge payments based on an individual’s popularity, with stars earning crores per post while influencers make comparatively less.
Many people on social media argue that targeting only small-time influencers is unfair and are calling for equal legal treatment for all those involved.
