Police Arrest ex YSRCP Minister Kakani Govardhan Reddy

YSRCP ex-minister Kakani Govardhan Reddy has been arrested. Nellore district Kavali One Town police have filed a case against Kakani.

A few days back, a heated argument took place between YSRCP members and TDP members in Kolladinne in Bogolu mandal leading to physical injuries.

The injured were taken to Kavali Government Hospital. But the YSRCP members drew knives and started fighting at the hospital. This led to another face-off between both the parties.

Meanwhile, Kakani reached the spot to visit YSRCP cadre. Kakani made some strong comments against the TDP cadre and police. He alleged that the police were supporting attacks on YSRCP cadre.

He went on to say that YSRCP will come to power next and they will hunt down the officials from across seven seas and disrobe them. Not stopping there, Kakani threatened the TDP cadre.

Following this, TDP member Vanteru Prasanna lodged a complaint against Kakani in Kavali One Town police station.

Cases have been lodged under sections 224, 351/2, 352, 353/2.

Prior to this, Kakani also threatened the police and revenue officials in sexual harassment case by his follower. He said his party would come to power and they would ensure that the CI and RI would lose their jobs.

Kakani’s behaviour and subsequent arrest has become talk of Nellore political circles.
