On the inauguration eve, CM Mohan Yadav said a new identity was being created for Madhya Pradesh in the medical field. At the speed at which medical colleges were being opened in the state, he said, there would soon be a medical college in every district.
To improve the state's medical system, Yadav said an action plan would be prepared to fill about 25,000 posts in the next two years. On medical tourism, he said parks would be developed on 200-250 acres, through which various super specialty health services would be made available in one place.
The CM said 346 community health centres would be upgraded as the first referral units for which an action plan has been prepared. He said special efforts were being made for the prevention and treatment of sickle cell anaemia in the state.Under the PM Air Ambulance Service, the state govt has taken an initiative to provide timely treatment to critically ill and accident victims in remote areas by airlifting them. So far, more than 4 crore Ayushman cards have been distributed in the state under the 'Ayushman Bharat Yojana', Yadav said.
