NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer on Monday night during the G20 Summit in Brazil. The two leaders discussed working together in areas such as technology, green energy, security, and innovation.
“Had an extremely productive meeting with Prime Minister Keir Starmer in Rio de Janeiro. For India, the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership with the UK is of immense priority. In the coming years, we are eager to work closely in areas such as technology, green energy, security, innovation, and technology. We also want to add strength to trade as well as cultural linkages,” PM Modi posted on X.
Modi’s schedule on the first day of the G20 Summit included meetings with leaders from several countries, including France, Italy, Norway, Portugal, and Indonesia.
During a session on social programs, PM Modi highlighted India’s efforts to combat poverty and hunger. He also expressed support for Brazil’s proposal to create a global alliance to address these issues.
