Jayprad Desai reprised Kanika Dhillon’s screenplay of Haseen Dilruba for a second time in Phir Aayi Haseen Dilruba. It was released yesterday on Netflix and fans have started pouring in their reviews. It seems that the sequel couldn’t live upto the buzz of the first film! Taapsee Pannu and Vikrant Massey led film was joined by Sunny Kaushal to make a crazy love triangle of crime, mystery and thrill but fans expectations couldn’t be fulfilled by them as they ask “Phir Kyun Aayi Haseen Dilruba?”
Phir Aayi Haseen Dilruba brings back the pulp fiction appeal of the first film but it heavily relies on unwanted twists, one after the other. Fans believe the first half of the film was still better than the messy second half. The lack of motive and structured plot is the major concern, characters were killed and revived just for the sake of exciting the storyline. Fans feel that the makers wanted to overshadow the madness of the first film but forgot that a meaningful plot was as important.

Earlier fans were speculating about a third instalment but now it seems unlikely they would want to give it a third chance. Although some people praised Vikrant Massey’s performance and the cinematic view of the city of Agra. After Haseen Dilruba becoming the most watched film on Netflix in 2021 a similar fate does not seem to follow the sequel!
