The bar owners have come together to protest against the government. They say that permit rooms have hit on their business. Members of Telangana Bar and Restaurant Owners Association are protesting in front of the Excise department.
They complain that due to permit rooms in wine shops, customers have stopped coming to bars. As the density of wine shops is more, the bar owners are losing out big, they rue. Some bar owners are forced to wind up their businesses, say Bar Association members.

They also said that the increase in belt shops in villages and urban pockets has made lives miserable for local people. They further complained that while the wine shops were open from 10 am to 10 pm in districts, they were open till 11 pm in Hyderabad and GHMC. They demanded that the same timings should be applicable in districts too.
The Bar Association members further said that the government too was losing out on revenues due to the issues being faced by them. They demanded that the government must address their issues immediately.
