“My parents instilled in me the habit of reading books. I wouldn’t think of giving a crore of rupees, but I would think of giving a book. If were to give a book, I would feel like I spent all my wealth. If some people ask for books, I would buy them, but I wouldn’t give the books I had. I feel like what would have happened to me in life if I hadn’t read books. If I had books, I felt like I didn’t need teachers,” Pawan Kalyan said.
He revealed the reason for quitting his studies.

“Even though I stopped studying after my intermediate, I didn’t stop reading books. The reason I stopped after my intermediate was not because I couldn’t read. Not because I couldn’t get marks. I used to read well. The education I wanted was not in books. It wasn’t in the classroom. I heard that Rabindranath Tagore didn’t go to school and learned at home. Inspired by him, I also wanted to follow the same path,” he said.
The book festival at Indira Gandhi Stadium, Vijaywada will continue from 2 pm to 9 pm daily from January 2 to 12. Two Hundred and Seventy Stalls have been set up this year.
