Pawan Kalyan Fans in Panic

Pawan Kalyan Fans in Panic

Baby John was a highly anticipated film in 2024. With its release around Christmas, the makers were confident that it would take an opening of almost Rs. 25 crores.

However, the situation has turned out worse than expected, as the first day collection is reported to be just Rs. 11 crores, which is extremely low, especially on a national holiday.

The business crashed even further on the second day, with collections dropping to only Rs. 4 crores. The first day’s low numbers meant that the film had to perform well on the second day to have any chance at success. However, the 4 crore collection on day two is disappointing and reflects a complete crash.

The film has been criticized for its outdated story, average performances, and poor music. The fact that it is a remake of the 2016 film Theri further damaged its box office prospects. In today’s OTT era, remakes of popular films simply don’t work.

Now, Tollywood is preparing for its own remake of Theri, titled Ustaad Bhagat Singh, starring Pawan Kalyan and directed by Harish Shankar.

While Harish Shankar insists that Ustaad Bhagat Singh is not a direct remake, fans are worried after Baby John’s disastrous performance.

Pawan Kalyan’s fans are particularly concerned, as his political commitments have made it difficult for him to choose films.

He has been selective in his choices, and the last thing fans want is for a risky project like Ustaad Bhagat Singh to flop at the box office like Baby John.
