Some film industry insiders who watched the film have shared their thoughts on Twitter, noting that Pattudala is heavily inspired by the Hollywood film Breakdown.

The production quality under Lyca Productions is expected to be solid, with Anirudh Ravichander’s background score adding a fresh dimension. Action sequences are reportedly well-executed.
Lyca Productions is also facing the worst phase with Indian 2, Lal Salaam, Vettaiyan, and Chandramukhi turning out to be epic disasters. They are hoping for some relief from Vidaamuyarchi.
With the film hitting theaters soon, the real test will be how it fares with audiences on release day, and whether the buzz can pick up despite the low-key promotional campaign.
