Pat McAfee chugs beer and says he took 100mg of EDIBLES on flight to Ireland as his show descends into chaos live on ESPN

Pat McAfee fronted a rowdy show live from Dublin on Friday for the start of the college football season – downing beers and talking about taking edibles live on ESPN.

McAfee said he had drank six beers during the show and more before it had started, before downing more pints of Guinness in front of a live audience.

He is in Ireland as Florida State face Georgia Tech at Dublin’s Aviva Stadium on Saturday.

‘You will never seen a drunker man on ESPN than Pat McAfee right now,’ said one fan on X.

Another said: ‘This might be the best Pat Mcafee show ever. They are in Dublin Ireland at a bar and he’s 4 drinks in 15 mins into the show.’

McAfee then said he had taken about 100mg of edibles on his flight to Ireland.

‘When you’re flying international, you cannot land into different countries with edibles or weed. AJ as a friend of mine had bought a bunch of edibles,’ he said.

‘Pilots tell us make sure there is none of that on the plane because when he land it is going to get checked. AJ you and I both had probably 100mgs on the plane.

‘It is similar to my trip to London from Indianapolis when I had 13 edibles. Last night was a very similar situation. AJ and I were on about 100mg each.’

McAfee had WWE star Sheamus pouring pints behind the bar with the pub packed with fans for the live audience.

They often chanted ‘turn it up’ – seemingly because they couldn’t hear McAfee and his guests talking during the show.

It led to a bizarre spectacle back in the United States, where fans watching in America were at least five hours behind McAfee due to the time difference.

‘The Pat Mcafee show is must watch tv right now. Maybe the funniest thing I’ve ever seen on ESPN. Everyone is blacked out chugging Guinness,’ said one amused fan.
