With actor Parth Samthaan’s entry as ACP Ayushmaan, the tables have turned on the show CID. Unlike ACP Pradyuman, Ayushmaan loves to give deadlines to his officers. And currently, the team is on a mission to find Barbosa, the killer of Shivaji Satam’s ACP Pradyuman. However, this is not just another case for the officers, but a personal grudge. The team, led by Abhijeet and Daya, is in revenge mode.
In a video released by Sony Entertainment Television on Monday, Parth Samthaan’s ACP Ayushmaan can be heard saying, “Only thing that impresses me is results.” Listening to this, Daya says, “Don’t you worry ACP sir, in just a couple of days you will have the results: A dead Barbosa.” This, however, doesn’t go down well with the new ACP, who says, “You guys are CID officers, not gangsters. You just catch Barbosa. Law and order will take care of the rest.”
Abhijeet, who disagrees with his new ACP, says, “We will decide Barbosa’s punishment.”

With a cliffhanger ending, the makers of CID have generated curiosity among fans as this time it is not just CID against crime, but OGs vs New ACP.
Post the death of Shivaji Satam’s iconic character, ACP Pradyuman, the makers introduced Parth Samthaan as the new ACP of the show. This, however, didn’t go down well with CID fans, who demanded either the return of ACP Pradyuman or promotion of OG characters, Abhijeet and Daya.

According to reports, the makers of the show are planning to bring back the character of ACP Pradyuman due to popular demand. However, no official update has been shared by the makers of the show yet.
CID is one of the longest running shows on Indian television. After running for over 20 years, the show went off air in 2021. However, in response to public demand, the makers returned with a new season featuring the original characters. The show airs on Sony Entertainment Television on Saturday and Sunday at 10 pm.
