Panchayat Season 4 Trailer: More politics, confusion and utter chaos are on transit to screens all over the country as Prime Video has dropped the trailer for Panchayat Season 4. Moreover, the makers have decided to move up the timeline of the release, and now the new season will drop on June 24 instead of the initially planned date of July 2. The shift in the release dates comes after the makers opened the voting lines to the public and asked them to choose their candidates between Manju Devi (Neena Gupta) and Kranti Devi (Sunita Rajwar), which would ultimately affect the release date.

The trailer promises a season with all features of the beloved show turned all the way to 11. After the last season, there will be no more subtle gestures of love and appreciation between Abhishek and Rinki, played by Jitendra Kumar and Sanvikaa, respectively. As the election inches close, different tactics will be put into place, new confidants will be hired, and there might be a little space for a coup. In the trailer Manju Devi is seen going door to door with her makeshift entourage in order to get the maximum number of people on board, while Abhishek is already preparing for the worst-case scenario, which would be Manju Devi losing the election.

The trailer does reveal more trouble coming Abhishek’s way as we get a peek into a fight in which he gets decked right across his face. To add injury to insult, this episode becomes an important factor in the election, with Manju Devi using it to rake in more votes and Kranti Devi trying to discredit the entire incident. More players are going to take part in this already chaotic game as Swanand Kirkire seems to be playing a more active role in the narrative. We saw the first glimpse of his character in the previous season, as he played sort of a ‘big brother’ to MLA Chandrakishore Singh (Pankaj Jha).
