“Pakistan has already defaulted and we are living in a bankrupt country. Everyone including the establishment, bureaucracy, and politicians are responsible for it. The solution to our problems lies within the country. The IMF does not have the solution to Pakistan’s problems,” PML-N leader Khwaja Asif said while addressing a convocation event in Sialkot.

The remarks of senior Pakistan minister came as the country grapples with record inflation. Pakistan has not been defaulting, but has “already defaulted”, he added. Khwaja Asif also criticised former Imran Khan government for factor causing terrorism in Pakistan.
Pakistan foreign reserves declined
Pakistan’s foreign exchange reserves have decreased by 5.5 per cent or USD 170 million to USD 2.91 billion in the week ending February 3, said State Bank of Pakistan said on Thursday (February 9),
deepening the economic woes of the crisis-stricken country.
The country has USD 8.54 billion in reserves in total, including USD 5.62 billion held by commercial banks, The News reported.
