When in power, YSR Congress Party leaders used to abuse the rival party leaders without any limits. People have made them pay the price by handing YCP a humiliating defeat in the general elections. Gradually, YCP leaders are beginning to recognize and acknowledge their missteps.
Recently, former minister Gudivada Amarnath admitted that their verbal diarrhoea resulted in their failure in the elections earlier this year. He said that YCP caused polarisation among people and indirectly made Janasena and TDP join hands.

In a recent interview, Amarnath said, “I believe that there was polarisation among people. The reason behind the polarisation was our words against Pawan Kalyan and, sometimes, how we tried to provoke him. All these factors helped in making the enemy’s enemy a friend.”
Amarnath revealed that many well-wishers told him not to talk about Pawan Kalyan. “A few people used to call my mother too, asking her to tell me not to talk about him,” said Amarnath.
