Nayanthara’s wedding documentary, which recently stirred controversy, is now streaming on Netflix under the title Nayanthara: Beyond the Fairytale.
The one-hour, 22-minute documentary revolves around Nayanthara’s journey in the film industry, culminating in her lavish wedding.
At first glance, it feels over-exaggerated. While Nayanthara briefly shares the struggles she faced, her narration lacks emotion, failing to evoke sympathy or connection.
At no point does the viewer feel empathy for her journey, though the documentary remains engaging in parts.
Surprisingly, everything comes across as superficial. For instance, she hints at a crucial revelation about a man influencing her decision to quit films but stops short of providing details, leaving it feeling half-baked.
The exaggerated tone stems from the narrative positioning her as someone who achieved so much, but the documentary fails to justify this claim convincingly.
Several celebrities, including Nagarjuna, Atlee, Radhika, and director Nelson, make appearances throughout. However, for Telugu viewers, Nagarjuna’s dubbed voice feels completely off.
Even the climax, showcasing her wedding, feels more like a rich individual flaunting extravagant arrangements rather than offering any emotional depth.

The wedding visuals are undeniably grand, with stunning shots and appearances by celebrities like Rajinikanth and Shah Rukh Khan, making the final moments visually appealing.
Overall, Nayanthara: Beyond the Fairytale is an over-exaggerated and emotionless documentary on actress Nayanthara.
