NEW DELHI: President Droupadi Murmu extended her greeting on New Year’s Eve to citizens, emphasising the importance of advancing “our society and nation” towards unity and excellence.
In her message, she noted that the new year symbolises fresh hopes, dreams and aspirations. “On the joyous occasion of New Year, I extend my heartiest greetings and best wishes to all Indians, living in India and abroad,” she said according to a press release shared from the President’s website.
She highlighted that this occasion presents an opportunity to move ahead with renewed energy to achieve “our wishes”.
“The coming of the New Year marks the beginning of new hopes, dreams and aspirations in our lives. The occasion of New Year gives us an opportunity to march forward with renewed vigour to fulfil our wishes,” she added.
Further urging to welcome “new year with joy and enthusiasm” she conveyed her message to “take our society and nation further on the path of unity and excellence.”
