Oppo Find N2 Flip is here to take on Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 with one BIG feature

Oppo Find N2 Flip has been launched with a larger Cover Display, a MediaTek chipset, and other details.

Flip phones are a cooler and affordable way to do foldable phones and after Samsung’s global domination, Oppo wants a piece of the cake with the Find N2 Flip. Announced in China, the Find N2 Flip is also crucial to global markets since this will be the first Oppo foldable smartphone to make an appearance outside China; not the same for the Find N2. The phone comes in three colours and familiar design, except for the cover display, which is visibly much larger than the one of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4.

The Oppo Find N2 Flip has also been priced competitively. The base variant with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage in China costs CNY 6000, which roughly translates to Rs. 71000. The top variant with 16GB RAM and 512GB costs roughly Rs. 83000. These prices are much lower than what Samsung asks for the Galaxy Z Flip 4 in India and global markets. Does that mean Oppo has a winner in its hands?

Oppo Find N2 Flip announced as Samsung Flip 4 rival

The biggest highlight on the Find N2 Flip is its large 3.6-inch OLED Cover Display. Oppo says it can be used to take selfies from the main camera, show QR codes, check weather, notifications, and more.

    Not sure which
    mobile to buy?

Speaking of cameras, the Find N2 Flip has a dual main camera system with a 50MP main camera having a Sony IMX890 sensor and an 8MP ultrawide camera. There is a camera on the inside having a 32MP sensor for selfies.

The Find N2 Flip also has a 6.8-inch OLED display with a refresh rate between 1Hz-120Hz, and peak brightness of 1600 nits. Oppo is using the MediaTek Dimensity 9000+ chipset with a UFS 3.1 storage and LPDDR5 RAM. The entire system is relying on a 4300mAh battery that comes with support for 44W fast charging.

However, the Oppo flip phone does not have any IP rating for water protection and the phone uses the older Gorilla Glass 5 for its outer cover. Hence, Samsung still has an advantage here.
