A series of IT raids hit the film industry in the past week. But one name where all the focus was that of Dil Raju.
Almost immediately after the release of Game Changer and Sankrantiki Vastunnam, the IT officials carried out several raids at Dil Raju’s house and offices.

With Game Changer being a mega budget film, the IT department raided its producer.
A cool and composed Dil Raju spoke to media and shared that the IT department were surprised following extensive searches.

The ace producer said Rs 5 lakh was got at his house, Rs 4.5 lakh at his brother Shirish’s house, Rs 6 lakh from his daughter’s house and Rs 2.5 lakh from his office. In total less than Rs 20 lakh was got from the entire exercise, said Dil Raju.
He said the IT department had hoped to find something big, but was in complete surprise at what they actually found. He said the IT department also gave him a panchnama as is the norm.

Dil Raju said the news about some random figures of money and documents in certain media were baseless. He added that he did not invest or buy properties in the last 5 years.
The department gathered information on the production, distribution and exhibition assets of my business. They found everything clean and they were happy with the way we cooperated with them, told Dil Raju.
Now, the IT department will sit with the auditors and check the nitty-gritty, he said.
Finally, Dil Raju also clarified that his 81-yr-old mother did not suffer an heart attack, but was admitted to hospital for chest infection. She is coming home after two days, he said.
