Nana Patekar and Anil Kapoor are known for their evergreen duo in Welcome. They also share a great bond off screen and candidly speak about each other’s works.
Nana Patekar is known for his unfiltered opinions about the films of his friends and industry colleagues. And recently he opened up about Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal in an interview with Anil Kapoor during the promotion of his film Vanvaas.

Initially he was reluctant to watch the film because he didn’t find it amusing for himself. Animal was also under much scrutiny because of misogyny, glorification of violence and cheating.
He stated that he finally watched it because his friend Anil Kapoor was getting high praises for his role. After watching it he felt that everyone’s performance was super exaggerated.

He felt that only Anil could give a restrained and nuanced performance as expected of a talented actor. He wasn’t very high praise for the movie but certainly appreciated his friend for standing out amongst a heap of stars like Ranbir Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, Tripti Dimri, Bobby Deol and Shakti Kapoor.
