The implementation of the Election Promises often judges governments in the Telugu States. In Telangana, the mark on Hyderabad in terms of infra development and bringing new investments are also the key.
Coming to the Election Promises, Revanth Reddy came up with Six Guarantees before the elections and promised to fulfill them in 100 days. The 100 days can be relaxed but then, the promises are largely unfulfilled.

Even though they are called Six Guarantees, they contain thirteen promises. Revanth Reddy has executed only four of them so far.
There is severe dissatisfaction about Rythu Bandhu among the farmers. The Loan Waiver with the number of beneficiaries became controversial.

HYDRAA and Musi Beautification Projects have become very controversial. HYDRAA started well with Nagarjuna’s N-Convention Center razed down. But then, there has been an opinion in the people, that they are only after the poor and political opponents.
Revanth Reddy’s Brother’s illegal construction escaping HYDRAA also did the damage.
The 1,50,000 Crore Musi Beautification Project also gave a Similar Impression.
Both these initiatives also slowed the Real Estate significantly in Hyderabad.
In terms of new Investments, there are no significant achievements in the last one year. There are no improvements as well in Hyderabad’s infrastructure. The Capital City is on ‘autopilot’ mode due to its natural advantage.
There is a severe problem of communication as well in this Government. Be it the issue of Caste Survey or Lagacharla land acquisition, the Government is not able to communicate with the people about its objectives and is creating confusion and anti-incumbency.
We have seen unemployed youth hitting the streets as well
The first one year was supposed to be largely the honeymoon period for a new government. But the Main Opposition – the BRS Party has enough opportunities to hit the roads. This is a major concern for Revanth Reddy.
There is also an impression that Revanth Reddy does not have complete control over his cabinet colleagues. Except for the likes of Seethakka, the Seniors always give a feeling that they do not approve of Revanth’s leadership. Maybe because of the Congress culture, we do not see him gain control.
Telugu Politics is all about proactive leadership. If the leader makes his mark, he will automatically emerge strong in the party and the people. That is missing in Revanth Reddy right now. He should work on improving it in the coming year.
