One More Item In Tirumala Annaprasadam

The TTD Board, led by new chairman BR Naidu, made several key decisions in the recently held meeting. One of those decisions was to include a new food item in the menu of daily Annaprasadam.

Most of the devotees who visit Tirumala have annaprasadam at Sri Tarikonda Vengamamba Nityannadana Satram. Reportedly, around two lakh devotees have anna prasadam from Tarikonda Vengamamba Nityannadana Satram, Annaprasada Counters in Tirumala, Mini Annaprasada Counters and Vaikuntam Queue Complex every day.

From now on, an additional food item will be served to the devotees along with the regular items that are being served every day. TTD spends around Rs. 38 lakhs daily on Annaprasadam.

Based on a report submitted by India’s renowned chefs and food experts, TTD has decided to appoint officials to inspect vegetables, stored raw materials, and food quality using modern methods to maintain hygiene and quality standards.

The latest food-making machines will replace the 10-to-15-year-old machines currently used to prepare Annaprasadam daily. To modernize these counters, TTD has signed an MoU with the popular company TVS. Additionally, TVS will collaborate with TTD to prevent leakages at the Srivari Temple in Tirumala.
