Ohio State vs. Michigan score: Live game updates, college football scores, NCAA top 25 highlights today

No. 2 Ohio State leads No. 3 Michigan 20-17 at halftime at Ohio Stadium in a game that exploded for points in the second quarter. Ohio State opened the game with a touchdown drive, but after that both defenses seemed to settle in. The teams traded field goals and punts before things went haywire in the second quarter.

Ohio State was selling out defensively to stop the run because it didn’t think Michigan could beat it through the air. It paid for this decision when JJ McCarthy beat a blitz to find Cornelius Johnson along the sideline. Johnson broke a tackle and didn’t have another defender between him and the end zone en route to a 69-yard touchdown. After Ohio State responded with a field goal, McCarthy hit a wide-open Johnson for a 75-yard touchdown on the next play. The Buckeyes drove down the field and scored with a beautiful 32-yard touchdown pass from C.J. Stroud to Marvin Harrison Jr.

McCarthy has thrown for 204 yards and two touchdowns. Stroud has thrown for 191 yards and two touchdowns, with Marvin Harrison and Emeka Egbuka his top targets.
