The film follows gold dealer Ajesh, who lends gold for a village wedding but soon finds himself in danger when the bride’s criminal husband plans to keep the gold and silence him forever.
The film beautifully explores human emotions, with strong performances enhancing its impact.
The third must-watch is Adolescence, a Netflix mini-series that has received praise from directors like Hansal Mehta, Shekhar Kapur, and Anurag Kashyap.
With just four episodes, the show has left a deep impact on audiences with its storytelling, powerful performances, and exploration of complex emotions.
The story follows a 13-year-old accused of murdering a classmate, leaving his family, therapist, and the detective in charge trying to understand what really happened.
More than just a crime thriller, the show delves into the toxic effects of social media on masculinity and its destructive influence on teenage boys.
All three are must-watch films and series, ranking among the best we have seen this year so far.
