It seems like the crime rate against women increased exponentially within this month, as many cases are coming to light.
A man named Dharmendra Kumar is now accused of sexually assaulting and murdering a nurse who worked at a private hospital in Uttarakhand.

On wednesday, the man was arrested after a whole week of the incident, although the exact date is still unclear.
The nurse’s body was found in a village in neighbouring Uttar Pradesh’s Rampur district, about 20 kilometres away from her hospital in Uttarakhand.

On July 30th the nurse left the hospital and took an e rickshaw (which is captured in the CCTV footage) to reach her home where she was living with her 11 years old daughter.
However she was unable to reach her home as the man allegedly stopped her and sexually assaulted her.

As she was missing her sister filed a missing report. Manjunath TC, the Udham Singh Nagar senior superintendent of police, said that, as they were searching for her, they got to know that she had reached her village in Uttar Pradesh.
He also added that on 8th August a body was recovered from the nearby bushes in the area and soon it was confirmed that the body was of the missing Nurse.
The police spotted Dharmendra Kumar, who lives in Uttar Pradesh’s Bareilly, after security camera footage showed him following the woman.
He worked as a wage labourer at the Uttarakhand town where the nurse’s hospital is located.
After investigation the woman’s phone was found from Rajasthan from where the accused was caught.
On the day the incident took place he noticed her going home alone and stopped her, the woman fought back but eventually she was overpowered and then he strangled her to death, after the murder he also sexually assaulted her and took all her belongings.
After the confrontation Dharmendra Kumar accepted that he committed this pathetic crime.
